Specialist Engineer

Job
Responsibility:
• Install, configure and maintain databases
with database administration skill set for different RDBMS like ORACLE, MySQL.
SQL Server and explore more DB technologies as per requirement with time to
time
• Assess and develop long-term strategic goals
for production database in conjunction with application owners and department managers.
• Monitor and perform daily health checkup of DB
performance to meet SLA and KPI.
• Prepare schedule for purchase and make sure the
budget is implemented and in line with the business plan and assist in analyzing
capacity forecast for budget preparation.
• Evaluate the impact of applications on
business continuity and assist in planning, designing and implementing business continuity &
Disaster Recovery (DR) solution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents whenever
occurs (24/7)
Required Academic Qualifications
B.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering from any UGC approved University
Required
Experience
• 2-3 years of experience in DBA or DB
maintenance role
• Fresh graduates with database administration
knowledge or passion may also apply.
Required
Knowledge & Skills
• Database installation, maintenance and performance
tuning (Oracle, SQL server, MySQL)
• Sound knowledge on DB backup, restoration,
securities, up-gradation, migration, patching etc.
• Knowledge on database high availability solution
(Clustering, replication, data guard etc.)
• Basic knowledge on Unix, Network and shell
scripting will be a plus.
• Training/certification (OCP) on Database
administration will be a plus.
• Strong communication skill
